Yesterday, the largest ... the premier ... indeed, the foremost and most reliable emergency storage food producer in the world sent another update to their pared-down dealer network (as they are forced to chop off another chunk of that dealer network).
If any of you are still in denial about the state of the preparedness marketplace, well, consider this your final warning (though I'm not sure there's much you can do about it at this point).
For those of you following this ongoing drama, we at Safecastle remain an active MH dealer in good standing. We continue to offer MH pouches, and we hope to be able to start re-offering MH cans in very limited quantities in a few weeks.
Bottom line--the emergency food storage business for the last 9 months or so HAS been chaotic and crazy. MH has been the hardest hit of the emergency food producers. But all emergency food producers and distributors have been under siege.
I see absolutely no reason to believe demand is going to drop or even level off this year. Or that supply issues will catch up to that skyrocketing demand. Or for that matter that food prices are going to be stable going forward.
What more can I say about it that I haven't already? Preparedness is about being ahead of the curve ... you know, the one in our rear view mirror.
