It's crazy out there. But it doesn't take much digging to realize that this volatile political season is effectively masking palpable, imminent dangers.
The fact is, the world at large is continuing to spiral into what might be best summed up as an anarchist's dream. It's no secret. Heck--there are not even any optimistic investment gurus left out there to sell long-range rainbows to the blind-ostrich class.
But through this gradual deterioration over time, have you fallen victim to some level of normalcy bias? ... "a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster and its possible effects."
Every once is a while we all need a wake-up call. Stay sharp, be ready, don't get bowled over by what suddenly overtakes us.
